WATCH D.O.G.S.

WATCH D.O.G.S.®(Dads Of Great Students) is one of the nation’s largest and most respected school-based, family, and community engagement, organizations in the country that Jenks Elementary has enthusiastically adopted.

This program focuses on safety and education by using the positive influence of fathers and father-figures for a two-fold purpose, to provide an unobtrusive fathering presence anto provide a positive and active role-model for students at the school.

Fathers, stepfathers, grandfathers and uncles are asked to spend at least one day at their student’s school volunteering. They will support the school through monitoring the school entrance, assisting with unloading and loading of buses and cars, monitoring the lunch room, or helping in the classroom with a teacher’s guidance either working one-on-one or in small groups.

Today thousands of school programs world-wide participate in WATCH D.O.G.S.® helping to engage men, inspire children, reduce bullying and enhance the educational environment at school.
